Birmingam Roeper held off Novi Christian Academy 74-71 in overtime in boys basketball action on Monday, Jan.
6, at the Roeper Community Center in Bloomfield Hills.
Roeper led 14-8 after one quarter, 30-25 at halftime, and
49-39 after three quarters. Novi Christian rallied in the fourth to tie the game at 62-62 and force overtime. Roeper outscored Novi
Christian 12-9 in the overtime to earn the victory.
Junior Will Claypool led Roeper with 21 points, including six
points in overtime. Senior Roshan Shah had 14 points. Junior Leif Axelarris had 13 points. Senior Sam Salinas scored nine points in
the victory.
Junior Adam Merritt led Novi Christian with 16 points.
Roeper (4-3)
travels to face Waterford Oakside Preparatory (4-3) and Novi Christian (3-3) travels to face Allen Park Cabrini (6-2) on Tuesday,
