Michigan high school girls basketball: Clarkston Everest Collegiate beat Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett 51-30 on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025

   Clarkston Everest Collegiate secured the Catholic High School League Intersectional 1 girls basketball regular season title with a commanding 51-30 victory over Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett on Thursday, Jan. 30.

   Everest took control early, jumping out to a 28-2 lead midway through the second quarter.

   Sarah Bradley led Everest (11-2, 7-0) with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Erica Walker added 11 points.

   Liggett (5-6, 3-2) was led by Kerith Short with 12 points and Phalyn Walker with eight.

   With the win, Everest clinches a spot in the CHSL St. Anne Division playoff tournament.

   Everest travels to face league foe Ann Arbor Greenhills (6-7/2-3) and Ligget travels to face league foe Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood (3-9/2-5) on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
