Michigan high school boys basketball: Detroit Central beat Detroit Crockett Midtown Science & Medicine 56-20 on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025

   Detroit Central won its seventh straight game, beating Detroit Public School League Gold Division boys basketball rival Detroit Crockett Midtown Science & Medicine 56-20 on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Central.

  Central led 14-0 after one quarter and 34-2 at halftime.

   In a game where starters saw limited action, Tyree Acuff led Central with16 points. Chris Taylor scored 12 points. Jeremiah Gray had 11 points in the victory.

   Central (8-2/5-0) travels to face Detroit Communication & Media Arts (2-7/1-4) and Crockett (0-7/0-4) travels to face league foe Detroit East English Village Preparatory Academy at Finney (5-7/5-3) on Friday, Jan. 17.
