Michigan high school girls basketball: Detroit Edison Public School Academy Early College of Excellence beat Kalamazoo Christian 65-44 on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025

   Defending Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 2 girls basketball champion and No. 8-ranked Detroit Edison Public School Academy Early College of Excellence dispatched Kalamazoo Christian 65-44 to earn its fourth straight victory on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Kalamazoo Christian.

   Miss Basketball contender senior Isis Johnson-Musah (California) led Edison with 20 points. Sophomore Rhianna Young had 19 points in the win.

   Edison (12-3) hosts West Bloomfield (9-7) on Feb. 18 and travels to face Division 1 No. 1-ranked Belleville (16-1) on Feb. 21, and hosts Division 2 No. 3 ranked Frankenmuth (14-3) on Feb. 22.

   Kalamazoo Christian (13-3) travels to face Muskegon Western Michigan Christian (8-2) on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
