Detroit Edison Public School Academy Early College of Excellence pounded Pontiac Academy of Excellence 66-16 in a play-in game of
the Charter School Conference boys basketball playoffs on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Edison.
Edison led 10-2 after one quarter,
35-6 at halftime, and 54-9 after three quarters. Most of the second half was played under a running clock.

Edison players scored in the game which saw limited action from starters.
Jake Petree scored 16 points to lead Edison.
Edgar Hubbard and Andre Neal both scored nine points. David Hemphill added six points. Javaris Jackson had five points in the win.
Edison (5-13) advances to face Detroit University Preparatory Science & Math (12-4) in the first round on Thursday, Feb. 6, at Detroit University Preparatory Art & Design.
