Michigan high school girls basketball: Detroit Osborn downed Detroit Communication & Media Arts 58-19 on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025

   Detroit Osborn won its 12th straight game, beating Detroit Public School League Gold Division girls basketball rival Detroit Communication & Media Arts 58-19 on Thursday, Jan. 30, at Communication & Media Arts.

  Osborn led 17-2 after one quarter and 34-5 at halftime.

   Shaniah Grasty led Osborn with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Danai Childs had 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 steals. Jayle Dowell totaled 10 points, eight assists, and 10 steals in the victory.

   Osborn (13-1/9-1) and Communication & Media Arts (7-8/7-3) wait for their opening matchups in the upcoming PSL playoffs.

   Osborn’s only loss came against first-place Detroit Pershing (12-0/10-0) on Dec. 5, 49-40.
