Detroit Pershing remained undefeated, rolling past Detroit Public School League Gold Division girls basketball
foe Detroit Central 48-7 on senior night Monday, Jan. 27, at Pershing.
Pershing led 15-0 after one quarter and 29-0 at
halftime.
Kymeona Carter led Pershing with 21 points, nine rebounds and seven steals. Des’knei McDaniels had 16 points.
Kendall Copper-Cheeks scored 10 points in the win.
Pershing (11-0/9-0) travels to face league foe Detroit Denby (5-4/5-4)
and Central (1-9/1-8) hosts league foe Detroit Northwestern (2-8/2-7) on Thursday, Jan. 30.
Pershing is in first place
in the PSL Gold. Detroit Osborn (12-1/8-1) is second. Pershing beat Osborn 49-40 on Dec. 5.
