Michigan High School boys basketball: Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy beats Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Preparatory 67-62 on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025

 

   Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy edged Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Preparatory 67-62 in a national boys basketball showdown on Thursday, Jan. 9, in front of a sold-out crown at Oakland University in Auburn Hills.

   Former Detroit Cass Technical standout Darius Acuff Jr. (Arkansas) led IMG with 32 points. Kareem Stagg (Georgia) added eight points for IMG.

  Senior Trey McKenney (Michigan) led St. Mary’s with 37 points in the loss. Jayden Savoury (Michigan State) and Mateen Cleaves Jr. both finished with eight points for St. Mary’s.

   St. Mary’s (7-4) plays East Lansing (9-1) at the Gottagetit Hoop Classic at East Kentwood on Saturday, Jan. 11.
