   Lansing Waverly beat Capital Area Activities Conference Blue Division foe Lansing Everett 67-58 on Friday, Jan. 24, at Everett.

   With the game tied at 58-58 with two minutes left, Waverly scored the final nine points to secure the win.

   DeShawnta Malone led Waverly with 20 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and four steals. Xavier Pendergrass had 14 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. Louie McCloud had 12 points and six assists in the victory.

   Marrion May had 19 points to lead Everett.

   Waverly (11-2/6-1) plays West Bloomfield (5-8) at the Downtown Showdown at Detroit Cass Technical on Saturday, Jan. 25.

   Everett (2-10/1-6) hosts Charlotte (9-6) on Monday, Jan. 27.
