Michigan high school girls basketball: Southfield Christian edges Sterling Heights Parkway Christian on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025

   Southfield Christian won its fourth straight girls basketball game, beating Michigan Independent Athletic Conference Red Division rival Sterling Heights Parkway Christian 32-27 in a defensive battle on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Southfield Christian.

   Parkway Christian led 7-6 after one quarter. Southfield Christian took a 19-13 lead at halftime and led 26-23 after three quarters.

   Junior Gabby Reis led Southfield Christian with 14 points. Junior Diamond Cook scored 11 points. Sophomore Caramia DeGiulio added six points.

   Sophomore Angelina Marchesi scored 20 points to lead Parkway Christian.

  Southfield Christian (4-2/1-0) hosts Brighton Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy (4-4/3-1) on Friday, Jan. 10.

   Parkway Christian (2-7/0-3) hosts Pontiac (2-3) on Tuesday, Jan. 13.
