  West Bloomfield held off a late rally to beat Oakland Activities Association Red Division rival Ferndale 63-60 on Friday, Jan. 3, at West Bloomfield.

   West Bloomfield led 23-9 after one quarter and 39-32 at halftime.

   West Bloomfield (5-5/2-1) travels to face division rival Birmingham Groves (7-2/2-1) on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Groves fell to Auburn Hills Avondale 54-44 on Friday.

   Ferndale (2-8/0-3) travels to face Muskegon (5-0) on Saturday, Jan. 4. Muskegon pounded Jenison 65-17 on Friday.
