Michigan high school boys basketball: Arts & Technology Academy of Pontiac beat Detroit University Preparatory Science & Math 81-43 on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025

   The Arts & Technology Academy of Pontiac remained undefeated, beating Charter School League Silver Division rival Detroit University Preparatory Science & Math 81-43 in boys basketball action on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Arts & Technology.

   The game was tied 13-13 after one quarter. Arts & Technology was in command the rest of the game, leading 32-20 at halftime and 61-31 after three quarters.

   Freshman Lewis Lovejoy led Arts & Technology with 21 points. Sophomore De’Vontae Grandison scored 17 points. Senior Teyshaun Hicks scored 13 points. Freshman Carter George added nine points in the victory. Nine players scored for Arts & Technology.

   Arts & Technology is averaging 86 points a game.

   Science & Math (5-4) hosts league foe Detroit Henry Ford Academy (1-4) on Friday, Jan. 10.

   Arts & Technology (6-0) hosts league foe Melvindale Academy for Business & Technology (5-4) on Tuesday, Jan. 14.
